Hiking the Vouraikos Gorge – 10:00 AM
Begin your adventure in Kalavryta, a charming mountain town known for its scenic railway, traditional stone houses, and vibrant atmosphere.
Hike along the famous Odontotos Railway route, a 22-kilometer scenic trail through the Vouraikos Gorge, surrounded by crystal-clear streams, waterfalls, and lush forests.
Discover the breathtaking rock formations and caves hidden along the trail, part of the Chelmos-Vouraikos National Park. After a 2-hour hike, reach the village of Zachlorou.
Cave of the Lakes – 1:00 PM
Explore the mystical Cave of the Lakes, a 3-level underground marvel featuring 13 cascading lakes, hidden waterfalls, and ancient fossils.
Admire the impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations in the multicolored chambers. See prehistoric fossils of humans and animals, preserved in the cave’s depths.
In winter, the cave transforms into an underground river, while in summer, its suspension bridges allow visitors to walk over the lakes.
